Situated in central North Carolina, Cabarrus County is part of the state’s Piedmont region. Located just 30 minutes northeast of Charlotte, the area is easily accessible by car, air, and by rail.
Situated along Interstate 85 at Exits 49 through 63, Cabarrus County is a short drive from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), as well as I-77 and I-40. The City of Concord is home to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) where Allegiant and Avelo Airlines offer nonstop service to a variety of destinations on the East Coast.
Travelers can also reach Cabarrus County by train. Amtrak, the nation’s intercity passenger rail operator, conveniently connects passengers via daily service along the Carolinian and Piedmont routes. The area offers several car rental services as well as public transportation options via RIDER Transit.
