When it comes to craft beverages in Cabarrus County, there’s a story with every sip. Our distillery, breweries and wineries reflect the region’s rich history and vibrant community. They remind us what makes North Carolina great. Throughout the county, you’ll find breweries featuring expertly crafted beers and eclectic bottle shops that satisfy every taste, from ales to porters and beyond.
If you’re a beer lover, head to Concord, where Buzzed Viking, Cabarrus Brewing Company, High Branch Brewing and Southern Strain Brewing Company are creating their own distinctive craft brews. Hangouts like Local Bottle Shop, Gaelic Alley Irish Pub and Lil Robert’s Place also serve up a wide selection. In Harrisburg, try Percent Tap House and Vortex Bottle Shop for Carolina craft flavor. Old Armor is an essential beer stop in downtown Kannapolis, and Old Well (inside the restaurant 73 & Main) is a must-visit if you’re looking for micro brews in Mount Pleasant.
Maybe you’re more into sauvignon than stout. No worries: Our area’s wineries welcome you to try the fruit of their vines. Many offer tasting rooms to sample their varietals, as well as comfy seating areas — inside and out — so you can lounge with a glass of your new favorite wine.
Dover Vineyards in Concord offers an irresistible combination of homegrown wine and fresh produce. The owners of Dover Vineyard also operate a farm, so visitors can shop locally grown veggies, fruits and flowers. And in Midland, check out Rocky River Vineyards, a family-owned vineyard that loves a celebration. Check their event calendar to find the next festival, open house or campout!
